This Friday, we’ll be playing a very special show at the Conservatory of Music in Luxembourg City.
This concert is put together by the organization called Paticka, which fights the stigmatisation of hiv and aids. All benefits of this evening will be used for this purpose.
We will be joined by the band Spackomat, the songwriter Daniel Depienne and the dance group X-pression. The show starts at 20:00. Ticket prices are 10€ and you can order them here or by clicking the image above.

As you may know, on Thursday 17th November the national publishers will be honoring the most acclaimed books of 2011. Daniel will be handing out one of these prices to the lucky winner. What a great occasion to get the suit out of the wardrobe once again!

On 22nd October, Daniel will join a whole bunch of musicians and friends to spent an evening at the Rockhal for an event called D’Kees op an d’Klacken eraus!.
The benefits of this evening go to the Fondation Thierry van Werveke which supports numerous social projects here in Luxembourg.

Wow, we’re almost done. Werner Pensaert finished the mixing of our new album yesterday. So we’re one step closer to holding it in our hands. Next step is mastering which will be done by Uwe Teichert at Elektropolis in Brussels. This will happen in the following 2 weeks. We’ll keep you informed with every tiny and dirty detail we’re getting…
We’re approaching the end! Daniel is currently at Audioworkx in Hoogeloon, a small village in the Netherlands, where Werner Pensaert is mixing everything together that we’ve recorded during the last months. He’s working on the first song (which is called “Keep it”) and it really starts to sound like…you know, a real song. More soon…
We are currently finishing up our recordings here in Luxembourg. Everything is starting to take shape and we’re pretty close to completing our new album.
Daniel spent most of the time messing up the studio, recording additional guitars and singing a couple of tracks (while fighting a merciless cough, thanks a lot Jim…).
On September 6th, we will move to the Netherlands where Werner Pensaert is going to mix the album at Audioworkx. We will keep you informed…

A few months from now, Daniel and his band will start recording the new album. In the early summer of 2010, we will lock us up in the marvelous La Chapelle Studios in Belgium to put our fourth album together.

We are very happy to announce that Daniel is going to do the soundtrack for the new Feierblumm movie called Heemwéi. The movie about 2 luxembourgish World War II soldiers will be released later this year. We will keep you informed.
Great news to start the year with: Two songs of our recent album “Palpitations” made it into RTL’s hit-list. “Surprised” reached position 34 and “Ocean” reached position 23. Many thanks go to everyone who took the time to vote.

I spent the last couple of days together with director Jacques Molitor and the Feierblumm team at the CNA in Dudelange to shoot the video to our new single which will be released soon.

For my old friends of the Harmonie de Schuttrange, we will be playing an unplugged concert at the centre culturel in Munsbach on Saturday 12th July 2008 at 21:00 to celebrate their 100st birthday. I will be joined by Emmanuelle Seiwerath on Cello and Michel Mootz on Vibraphone. After our concert, there will be an after-party with Jeans Generation. Entrance is 5€ for adolescents and 10€ for adults.

We are happy to announce that the première of Jacques Molitor’s short-movie En Compagnie de la Poussière will take place at the cinema Utopia on Thursday 8th May 2008 at 19:00. The original score was composed by Daniel, with performances by Emmanuelle Seiwerath on cello, Véronique Kolber on vocals and James Gierens on guitars and vocals. After the short-movie the documentary Cold Waves will be shown. Seats are limited, so if you want to assist the première, make sure to be there on time. We will keep you informed.

The short film “En Compagnie de la Poussière” by Jacques Molitor is currently in post-production. The release of the belgian-luxembourgian coproduction is sheduled for mid-december. The music was written an recorded by Daniel Balthasar, with performances by Emmanuelle Seiwerath, Véronique Kolber, Michel Mootz an James Gierens. We will keep you informed where and when the film will be shown.

We would be very happy to see you at the Screaming Field of Sonic Love Festival this Friday. Our show starts at 20:00, followed by the excellent luxembourgian bands Claudine Muno and the Luna boots, Zap Zoo and The Astronoids.
Another concert confirmed for this summer: you can see us at the E-lake Festival in Echternach on August 11th. Along with Clueso, Blumentopf and Woodface, and it’s all for free.

Blue Room is playing at the Rock am Tempel-Festival in Sandweiler/Centre Culturel with Fluyid, Myein, Sonic Season, Chief Marts & Room 24 on April 3rd 2004.
The new album “Fingerprints” is in stores now. It contains 10 songs, including “My Nemesis”, which already figured on the 2001 compilation “Planet RTL - The Next Generation”. On the disc, you can also find a short-movie by V?nique Kolber.
