Final recordings
We are currently finishing up our recordings here in Luxembourg. Everything is starting to take shape and we’re pretty close to completing our new album.
Daniel spent most of the time messing up the studio, recording additional guitars and singing a couple of tracks (while fighting a merciless cough, thanks a lot Jim…).
On September 6th, we will move to the Netherlands where Werner Pensaert is going to mix the album at Audioworkx. We will keep you informed…

Not so far in the future, we will begin recording our 4th album at La Chapelle Studios in Belgium. Concert at Chocolate Elvis, Saturday 6st March 2010
We are happy to announce that our annual March-concert at the Chocolate Elvis (Hollerich/Lux) will take place on Saturday 6st March 2010. Show will start at 22:00. Entrance is free. We are glad to welcome you all.
Recording the new album
A few months from now, Daniel and his band will start recording the new album. In the early summer of 2010, we will lock us up in the marvelous La Chapelle Studios in Belgium to put our fourth album together.
Daniel is currently finishing up the songs and still writing on new ones. So we are all very impatient to get it all started. Of course, during the recording weeks, we will put every tiny progression in image and sound on our blog-page. More info to come soon.

We are very happy to announce that Daniel is going to do the soundtrack for the new Feierblumm movie called Heemwéi. The movie about 2 luxembourgish World War II soldiers will be released later this year. We will keep you informed.
RTL Hit of the year 2009
Great news to start the year with: Two songs of our recent album “Palpitations” made it into RTL’s hit-list. “Surprised” reached position 34 and “Ocean” reached position 23. Many thanks go to everyone who took the time to vote.

2009 Round Up
The year is almost done and so it is the perfect time for a small sentimental résumé.
So, goodbye 2009, hello 2010. If you believe the movie, we will make contact this year. Unfortunately, Roy Scheider will miss the happening. But hey, great things are heading our way: flying cars, humanoid robots developing feelings, the apocalypse… Where was I? Oh, right…
My band and I would like to thank everyone that came to our concerts, bought or copied our albums, voted for one of our songs or videos, played with us, wrote about us, worked with us and thought kindly of us.
2010 will be again full of challenges. During summer, we will record our 4th album. We will play some concerts and plenty of other projects will come our way. As always, you will find all of the info here in time.

Melting Session4 / Philharmonie 18th December 2009
Emmanuelle Seiwerath, Véronique Kolber and Daniel will participate on the Melting Session 4 at the Philharmonie on Friday 18th December 2009 at 21:00. This very special project comes with a compilation CD called The Cell[o] Division, presenting pieces of music mixing the sound of a cello with electronics and experimental songwriting. I spent the last couple of days together with director Jacques Molitor and the Feierblumm team at the CNA in Dudelange to shoot the video to our new single which will be released soon. I would like to thank every single one who gave a hand to realize this technically complicated video. There were almost 30 people involved in this shooting. I will post a list of everyone’s credits soon. A special thank you goes to both actors Laure Roldan and Nilton Martins who bring this video to life. The premiere takes place at cinema Utopolis on Wednesday 23rd September at 19:30. Daniel wrote the score for the movie and cello performances are by Emmanuelle Seiwerath. It is the first time Pido Perdon is shown in Luxembourg after it’s world premiere in South Korea at the 13th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival on 20th July 2009. Today, Friday 7th November, we are in Antwerp/Belgium at Motormusic Studios to get our new album mastered. By tonight, Palpitations is completed and ready to be printed.
Mixing Palpitations
We are currently mixing the new album at the Audioworkx Studios in Hoogeloon/Netherlands. The mixing is done by Werner Pensaert. We are all pretty excited. Check out our Blog for some pictures. More are coming soon.

Unplugged in Munsbach on Saturday 12th July 2008
For my old friends of the Harmonie de Schuttrange, we will be playing an unplugged concert at the centre culturel in Munsbach on Saturday 12th July 2008 at 21:00 to celebrate their 100st birthday. I will be joined by Emmanuelle Seiwerath on Cello and Michel Mootz on Vibraphone. After our concert, there will be an after-party with Jeans Generation. Entrance is 5€ for adolescents and 10€ for adults.

Première of En Compagnie de la Poussière
We are happy to announce that the première of Jacques Molitor’s short-movie En Compagnie de la Poussière will take place at the cinema Utopia on Thursday 8th May 2008 at 19:00. The original score was composed by Daniel, with performances by Emmanuelle Seiwerath on cello, Véronique Kolber on vocals and James Gierens on guitars and vocals. After the short-movie the documentary Cold Waves will be shown. Seats are limited, so if you want to assist the première, make sure to be there on time. We will keep you informed.

Our new single has entered the Eldoradio Chartbreaker. If you want to vote for us, we will not try to stop you from doing so. We have planned some interesting things for 2008. We will be in the studio in January and if we are lucky, you will hear some new songs in a couple of weeks. En Compagnie de la Poussière
The short film “En Compagnie de la Poussière” by Jacques Molitor is currently in post-production. The release of the belgian-luxembourgian coproduction is sheduled for mid-december. The music was written an recorded by Daniel Balthasar, with performances by Emmanuelle Seiwerath, Véronique Kolber, Michel Mootz an James Gierens. We will keep you informed where and when the film will be shown.

Upcoming Shows October/November 2006
Véronique Kolber and Daniel Balthasar will present a video-installation at the Sonic Faces Festival at the Kulturfabrik in Esch/Alzette on October 19th 2006. This experimental video-installation was shot and edited by the artist Véronique Kolber. The music was written and recorded by Daniel Balthasar, and features the cello-player Emmanuelle Seiwerath. Come, look and listen.
The next regular Band-concert will be at the Chocolate-Elvis/Luxembourg on November 30th 2006, exactly one year after the release of the album Outlines. Catch new songs there.

New concerts sheduled for summer 2006
We are happy to announce that we are going to play the following concerts during this summer: “Screaming fields of sonic love festival” at the Rockhal on Juli 21rst (unplugged), “Terres Rouges” in Esch/Alzette on September 3rd, as well as the “Sonic faces festival” at the KuFa in Esch/Alzete in October (experimental Video-installation with the artist Véronique Kolber, no band set-up). There are probably more concerts to be announced for this summer.
As well, we have the pleasure to announce two concerts of the band Blue Room. The first at the Rock d’Schlass in Bierg on Juli 8th, the second at the Shiny’s Cafe in Kehlen on October 6th. We will keep you informed…

Outlines out now
The new album has finally arrived and will probably be in stores on monday, 14th November 2005. It contains 13 new songs, as well as three video-clips of the artist Véronique Kolber. The marvelous cover and booklet are also designed by Véronique Kolber. Don’t miss the chance to come to the presentation of the new album at the Melusina on the 30th November 2005. Photographic exhibition
Véronique Kolber is presenting her new photographic exhibition “In love with the ordinary” at the Galerie “Nei Liicht” in Dudelange. The vernissage will take place on friday 4th March 2005 at 18:30. You are all invited to come. The exposition is open from 5th March to 8th April 2005. The regular opening hours are every day, except for monday, from 15:00 to 19:00.

Sonic Faces Festival
Blue Room is going to play a very special concert at the Sonic Faces festival, which will take place at the Kulturfabrik in Esch/Alzette on 1st October. Special about it is that we will be supported by a string trio, consisting of two violins and one cello. Besides, the entry is free. The festival will open at 20:00 with a “Table ronde”, where the future of luxemburgish music will be discussed. Blue Room is going to play at 21:30, followed by Mack Murphy & the Inmates at 22:30.
Concert cancelled
Due to organizational problems Blue Room is forced to cancel the concert on the Forest Jump Festival on 21st August 2004. We apologize for this.
The next concert will be in Ellange/Mondorf on 11th September 2004. Details are coming up.
